Mike Jeknavorian is a writer and an independent film producer. He has written for Aetna Insurance, Creative Loafing, FloridaArmenians.com, OutClique Magazine, Sarasota Magazine, Tampa Bay Scene Magazine, The Oracle, The University of South Florida, The Woodlands Country Club and UWire.
Mike has interviewed many prominent members from the LGBTQ and theater communities, such as: Alice Ripley, Amanda Lepore, Ari Gold, Bruce Vilanch, Charles Busch, Coco Peru, Daniel Franzese, David Mixner, John Lloyd Young, Judy Gold, Lady Bunny, Penny Arcade, Peppermint, Terry Fator, and Trixie Mattel.
Mike’s film and video works have aired at the Chicago Underground Film Festival, Gala Corina, the Portland Underground Film Festival, the Real Art Ways Film Festival, the Short Film Slam at the Two Boots Pioneer Theater, the Sick Puppy Film Festival, and on WEDU TV.
Mike has a master’s degree from the University of South Florida in Multimedia Journalism, and he’s pursuing a Ph.D. in Education at Florida Atlantic University. He lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
