Scandals had their first annual Mizz Scandals contest on Saturday, July 6.  The event—which rivaled, if not surpassed, the Mr. Scandals’ contest in attendance—saw five queens competing for the title.  The categories under question were daywear, evening wear, and presentation (which consisted of an on-stage impromptu question).  At the end of it all, Savannah native Verandah Lanai was crowned the inaugural Mizz Scandals.  Local entertainer Jennifer McClain and the winner of the 2019 Voice of Scandals contest, Scott Galens, each performed a couple of numbers.  The contest was judged by six locals from the industry, including Shawn Palacious, A.K.A. Kitty Meow, and Miss Sharde L. Ross.

Scandals Saloon in Wilton Manors hosted their Mr. Scandals contest last night, with original Mr. Scandals John Mosca relinquishing his “crown” to winner Matthew Hermann.  The crowed event, which was judged by six judges, saw five contestants competing for the title.  Categories included casual cowboy, gymwear/swimwear, and formal cowboy.  General manager Alex Amarosa was the master of ceremonies, with additional entertainment provided by Jessica Channing and Jennifer McClain.

THE SYNERGY TWINS

The Synergy Twins performed at Yule Holiday Lounge last Saturday to a packed house. The twins gave a dynamic performance—which consisted of them moving around the venue at times, including standing on the bar—that was over two hours long. Considering that the musicians probably weren’t contracted for a two-hour show, the show’s length underscored their obvious love for performing.  Local singer Jennifer McClain, who was just named by the South Florida Gay News as the best artist/musician in Broward County for the fourth year in a row, made an unadvertised appearance and sung several numbers with the duo as well.
